Corporate Social Responsibility has always been an integral part of Somaiya Group’s activities and the cornerstone of our education initiatives. We firmly believe in imparting holistic and inclusive education that encourages (and gives ample opportunities) to our students and faculty to reach out into the community around us. 

Somaiya Vidyavihar defines its Outreach program as giving back to our society and community manifold. Our founder, late Shri. K.J. Somaiya firmly believed in this core value and we all practice it in serious earnest. For us serving humanity is not just a duty; it's a way of life. 

Somaiya Vidyavihar offers a variety of courses, with an emphasis on employability and skill building for students from weaker sections and for students who have been unable to score high marks and secure admissions to professional degree courses. These include training in Information Technology, Appliance repairs, Welding, Electrician, Plumber, tailoring, embroidery etc. While these projects are already underway, plans for more social initiatives are on the anvil.
