Somaiya Shishu Niketan Primary School, Sameerwadi, is established for imparting the moral education and personality development of rural children surrounding Sameerwadi area. It is 1.5 Kms from Mudhol - Nippani road & 8 Km away from Mahalingapur town. The climate is generally dry and annual rainfall is around 545 mm. The temperature ranges between 16.20C to 38.70C.

The School has classes from Lower Kg to VII Standards and it is aided by the Government of Karnataka, It is a Kannada Medium Co-education school with special emphasis on education for moral values and all around development of personality.

The Campus is spread over in an area of 4 acres. It has spacious and well-ventilated classrooms and play fields for all types of games like football, cricket, Kabaddi, kho-kho, volley ball etc..,

We have two divisions in each class. At present school has strength of 564 students out of which 317 are the girls.

About the school :

Somaiya Shishu Niketan Primary School, Sameerwadi Kannada Medium School was started in the year 1974 with the permission of the Karnataka Government to provide Primary Co-Education i.e Lower K.G to VII Std to the Godavari Biorefineries Limited  workers children and surrounding area children of cultivators. The Govt. of Karnataka granted aid to the School during the year 1985-86 partly and subsequently remaining posts were also approved for salary grant by the Karnataka Government. Now the School is getting full salary grant.
