Is it necessary to fill both University & Somaiya Pre-Admission form ? if yes, which one need to be filled first ?

Yes, each student have to fill the pre-admission form of both University of Mumbai & that of Somaiya College. As per the norms, University form needs to be filled first, and then Somaiya College’s pre-admission form has to be filled. While filling up the somaiya pre-admission form, University enrolment form has to be entered.

However in case of technical problems with the University website or so, students can fill the somaiya’s pre-admission form first, and keep trying to fill up Universty form. Kindly note that at the time of Admission, duly filled in University form needs to be submitted.

What is “digital university enrollment number”, is it compulsory to have before filling up somaiya pre-admission form?

Digital University Enrollment Number is the number which gets generated after filling University of Mumbai’s form. It is highly recommended to fill the University’s form first. Yes,

you can apply for same course in different institutes
you can apply for same course in same institute under different category
you can apply in same institute for different courses

Note:

You will have to pay pre-admission form fee for every course & every category you apply.
While filling multiple forms, if you use same user id, you will be able to retrieve all the compulsory data on your new form.

Do I need to visit the college for submitting the form and all documents, once I fill the online form and make online payment for pre-admission form ?

If you have paid online for forms,then visiting the college campus is not required for submitting the form and documents.

May we please know that, for the submission of Pre-admission form and the other documents, is it necessary that students have to come by themselves to submit it or is it fine if any other person comes and submits the form and complete the procedure

For those students of Arts/Commerce and Science faculty after filling the online application & making online payment there is no need for any documents submission.Students need to submit the necessary documents if they are eligible as per merit list.

Can a HSC - Arts /Commerce/Science stream student apply for FYBA/FYBCOM.

As per University of Mumbai’s eligibility criteria,all students of 12th science students are eligible for FYBSc,FYBcom and FYBA, all 12th commerce students are eligible for FYBcom and FYBA and 12th Arts students are eligible only for FYBA class.

If in the marks column there is no provision for 12th science/12th commerce kindly fid your marks.Your marks will be considered for merit.

Note : For Arts : English language is compulsory.

For Science : English language and 3 science subjects are compulsory.

After securing admission in the college for pure science/commerce then,student will be eligible for bifocal/commerce IT subject and these subjects will be allotted as per merit.
