Since 1999, the Peetham is recognized by Kavi Kulaguru Kalidas Sanskrit University – statutory University established by the Government of Maharashtra- to conduct Diploma, Degree, Post Graduate Diploma , Masters Degree and Ph.D. in Sanskrit and Yoga. It has been granted permanent recognition as a research centre.

The Institute is recognized by the University of Mumbai as a research institute to guide students for Ph.D. in Sanskrit, Comparative Study of Religion (Philosophy) and History.

University of Mumbai has given permission to the Peetham to conduct Certificate and Postgraduate courses in Study of Religions.

The Government of Maharashtra by its Gr. No P.T.C/1089/1090 (173/89) dated to 10.8.1990, accorded its recognition to the course of Peetham in 'Indian Culture and Values'.

The Government of Maharashtra has recognized the Peetham as a "Research Cultural Centre" in 1995.
